As part of The Boyd Group, one of the largest collision repair companies in North America, Gerber Collision & Glass is committed to offering exceptional customer experiences through skilled repairs and a dedicated team. The company's foundation is built on integrity, inclusion, and a passion for excellence, fostering an environment where employees of diverse backgrounds and perspectives can thrive. Known for its 'WOW Operating Way' approach, Gerber Collision & Glass continually strives to exceed industry standards by investing in state-of-the-art facilities and creating a workplace culture that supports employee growth and success.

The company is currently seeking to hire a Porter to join their dynamic team. This role is integral in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of both customer vehicles and the service areas, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from repair initiation to vehicle delivery. The Porter plays a vital supporting role that directly impacts customer satisfaction by upholding high standards of cleanliness and professionalism throughout the workshop and office facilities. Responsibilities include pre-washing vehicles before repairs, cleaning the interior and exterior of repaired cars, and maintaining orderly workspaces and parking areas. Additionally, the Porter assists in transporting vehicles to subcontracted repair locations as needed.

Ideal candidates for the Porter position must be reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to multitask, including performing repetitive tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the workday. A high school diploma or GED is preferred along with automotive experience, although individuals motivated to learn and grow within the company are encouraged to apply. The position requires a valid driver's license and candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Gerber Collision & Glass emphasizes employee well-being by offering a comprehensive benefits package from day one. This includes medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, holiday pay, and a 401(k) plan with company matching. Additional perks like short-term disability coverage, life insurance, uniform stipends, safety glasses, and even voluntary daily pay options further enhance the employee experience. The company fosters a supportive work environment where employees are recognized and rewarded for their contributions, ensuring career advancement opportunities are accessible.

In summary, working as a Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass offers more than just a job – it offers a chance to be part of a greater team that values integrity, diversity, and hard work.
