Job Description

HGreg is a rapidly expanding automotive group established in 1993, with a strong presence in North America. The company operates 31 dealerships across Florida, California, and Quebec, with plans for further expansion within the United States. Known for its dedication to customer satisfaction and high-quality automotive services, HGreg has built a reputation as one of the fastest growing automotive dealership groups. The company's growth trajectory is driven by a commitment to innovation, excellence in vehicle selection, and outstanding customer service. HGreg offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where employees are empowered to develop their skills and advance their careers.

The current opportunity is for an experienced Car Porter to join the HGreg team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency and presentation of the dealership’s vehicle inventory. The Car Porter will be responsible for moving and parking vehicles across multiple dealership locations including the display lot, workshop, storage facilities, and designated pick-up points. Attention to detail and safety are paramount, as the Car Porter must ensure all vehicles are handled with the utmost care to prevent damage while preserving the dealership’s valuable assets.

In addition to vehicle movement, the Car Porter will perform routine checks to keep track of where each vehicle is parked, contributing to organized inventory management. The role also involves ensuring that all cars are clean both inside and out, enhancing the overall appearance of the lot to provide an inviting ambiance for customers. Moreover, assisting with lot maintenance and cleanliness ensures that the dealership remains a welcoming and safe environment.

The ideal candidate will possess safe driving skills, experience working with customers in a dealership environment, and a responsible attitude toward managing valuable property. Basic knowledge of car maintenance — such as changing batteries and routine fluid refills — will be advantageous. The Car Porter may also need to run dealership errands off-site and perform additional tasks as assigned by management. This is a full-time role requiring an 8-hour shift with weekend availability, emphasizing the candidate’s dedication and flexibility.

This role offers the unique chance to join a growing company with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, paid training, life insurance, and employee assistance programs. HGreg fosters professional development and values individuals willing to learn and grow within the automotive industry. A valid in-state driver’s license and insurability under the dealership’s insurance policy are mandatory for this position.

Working as a Car Porter at HGreg means being trusted to safely manage high-value vehicles and directly support the dealership’s operations and customer experience. This role is perfect for someone eager to contribute to a thriving automotive group while developing valuable skills and advancing their career in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
