Job Description

Core Spaces (Core) is a leading real estate company that goes beyond traditional property management by focusing on building meaningful relationships with its residents, employees, and communities. Founded in 2010, Core is a vertically integrated real estate investment manager specializing in acquiring, developing, and managing residential communities in the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) sectors. With a strong emphasis on innovation and collaboration, Core operates with six cultural values that shape its identity: PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better). These values guide the company in creating exceptional living spaces that redefine the way people experience community living.

Core's operations boast a significant presence in the student housing market with over 74,440 beds currently owned or managed and a development pipeline exceeding 53,860 beds. Alongside student housing, the company actively develops and manages over 3,000 build-to-rent homes in high-growth metropolitan areas nationwide, providing world-class amenities, progressive designs, and hospitality-driven service. Core's commitment to fostering a culture of belonging, competitive pay, generous paid time off, comprehensive health plans, and opportunities for personal and professional growth make it an employer of choice in the real estate industry.

The Porter role at Core Spaces is a vital on-site position responsible for maintaining the grounds and overall cleanliness of the property. This hands-on role involves completing daily groundskeeping tasks to ensure the facility remains attractive, clean, and fully functional. A Porter is entrusted with duties such as removing trash, preparing it for waste pickups, mopping, sweeping, landscape maintenance, and ensuring all amenity areas are immaculate and presentable throughout the day. This position plays an essential part in upholding Core’s brand and company standards by maintaining the aesthetic appeal and operational excellence of its properties.

The Porter works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and is expected to exhibit reliability, flexibility, and a keen attention to detail. The role offers an opportunity to be part of a team focused on enhancing the resident experience through superior property upkeep. Core provides an inclusive work environment where employees are encouraged to bring their full selves to work, supported by a comprehensive benefits package including paid parental leave, volunteer time off, competitive compensation, health benefits, and retirement plans. Additionally, Porters may be required to work extended hours during move-ins, move-outs, and turnover periods, showcasing an adaptive and proactive work ethic. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with a background in maintenance or skilled trades, particularly those interested in the student housing or multi-family industry looking to grow their career within a forward-thinking company.
