Employees at Twin Pines are encouraged to tackle intricate challenges, contribute to meaningful community impact, and grow their careers in an environment that champions accountability, creativity, and advancement.

The Porter role at Twin Pines is an essential frontline position within the Bronx Brooklyn Preservation portfolio, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The job is on-site at 820 Jackson Avenue and offers an hourly wage of $17 to $18. This position centers on maintaining the cleanliness, order, and safety of the entire property, including common areas, grounds, and vacant units. The Porter plays a pivotal role in supporting leasing efforts and promoting resident satisfaction by ensuring the premises are well-maintained, inviting, and ready for immediate occupancy or use. The duties cover a broad range of maintenance-related activities such as cleaning lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators regularly, managing trash removal, supporting seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping, and aiding in inventory control for cleaning supplies. Keeping the exterior spaces tidy and presentable is also a key responsibility, involving upkeep of sidewalks, parking areas, and dumpster enclosures. The role demands vigilant reporting of maintenance issues, potential safety hazards, or operational concerns to the supervisor to uphold community safety and property standards. Porters are expected to adhere strictly to safety protocols when handling cleaning agents and equipment, and they must provide residents with courteous, professional interaction to maintain high standards of customer service. This position requires a high level of physical fitness including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate stairs and ladders, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds, all of which contribute to the effective management of the property environment. Twin Pines supports its team by offering comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays, commuter benefits, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to work in a mission-driven environment dedicated to affordable housing in New York City. This comprehensive understanding of the Porter position highlights its importance in the overall success of Twin Pines Management's property management operations while emphasizing growth potential and employee well-being within a vibrant, purpose-driven team.
