Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of experience in property management or related field
- General knowledge of maintenance and repair including plumbing and electrical
- Previous renovation or minor construction experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Proficiency with general office equipment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and perform basic math
- Ability to handle difficult people and maintain confidentiality
- Professional appearance
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, current auto insurance
- Compliance with safety requirements
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, non-traditional holidays
- Willingness to be on-call and assist during staffing shortages
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of experience in property management or a related field
- General knowledge of maintenance repair and service including plumbing and electrical
- Experience with renovation, rehab, or minor construction
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Current auto insurance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
Job Duties
- Assist with daily porter tasks such as service requests and jobs at communities
- Respond to maintenance related issues in a timely manner
- Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, painting, and exterior building repairs
- Ensure work order system accuracy by verifying completion of all orders to company standards and tenant satisfaction
- Handle maintenance requests efficiently and effectively, completing within 24 hours
- Communicate promptly with property managers concerning all maintenance issues
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with safety requirements
