Job Description

Morgan Properties is a nationally recognized real estate investment and management company established in 1985 by Mitchell Morgan, with headquarters in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. As a leader in the multifamily real estate sector, the company owns and manages over 400 apartment communities and more than 110,000 units across 22 states. Morgan Properties is ranked among the top three largest multifamily owners in the United States and holds the distinction of being the largest owner in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York. With a workforce exceeding 2,600 employees, Morgan Properties values strong operational expertise, decisive leadership, and solid capital relationships, making it a respected name in the real estate industry.

The Porter position at Morgan Properties is a vital role within the maintenance team, focused on maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the properties in the community. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys keeping environments neat and orderly, and is ready to support a dynamic maintenance and housekeeping team. The Porter is responsible for ensuring that community models, vacant units, public access areas, and grounds meet the highest standards of cleanliness and upkeep. This includes an array of duties such as cleaning apartments after move-outs, handling waste removal across the property, sweeping sidewalks, watering and trimming plants, replenishing supplies, and assisting with make-ready preparations.

This employment opportunity offers a competitive pay range between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour. In addition to hourly wages, employees benefit from up to a 20% rent discount at any Morgan-owned property, monthly Renewal Commissions for property staff, and quarterly incentives known as Morgan Essentials. This role also provides substantial support for career growth through an Education and Tuition Reimbursement Program. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits are included, alongside life and disability insurance and a generous retirement plan featuring a 401(k) with company matching contributions. Paid time off is generous, including 10 holidays annually and sick leave days, coupled with an Employee Assistance Program and various employee discounts, making this a well-rounded compensation package.

The successful Porter candidate at Morgan Properties will be reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to serve the community and team with professionalism. Essential responsibilities include maintaining security standards by controlling access to the property keys, responding to on-site emergencies such as snow or ice conditions, and supporting the overall maintenance team's efforts efficiently. This position demands a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle to ensure readiness for various assignments and responsiveness during emergencies. The role also provides an excellent entry-level opportunity for those with up to one month of related experience or equivalent education, welcoming individuals eager to build a career in property maintenance and management within a large, reputable company. Joining Morgan Properties means becoming part of a responsible, proactive team dedicated to high-quality property management and resident satisfaction, with ample opportunities to grow and thrive within the organization.
