This opportunity is for a full-time Porter position located at 700 Bellevue Way Northeast, Bellevue, Washington 98004. The role offers a fixed pay rate of $25.00 per hour and involves working Monday through Friday with two available shifts: 5:00 am to 1:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The position requires a hardworking individual who will maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the front of house areas to support smooth daily foodservice operations.
As a Porter at Bon Appetit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in the dining environment. Key responsibilities include bussing tables, clearing and cleaning surfaces, washing dishes and cooking equipment, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout the foodservice area. The role also includes helping receive heavy deliveries and transporting them to storage areas, always following safe lifting protocols, and adhering strictly to company policies related to workplace safety such as the use of gloves when handling sharp tools or hot items.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior stocking or porter experience preferred
- Willingness to train
- Ability to work Monday through Friday full-time
- Must be able to lift heavy items safely

- Availability for early morning or daytime shifts

Job Duties
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service
- Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts
- Washes dishes, glasses and pots
- cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others
- Abides by all company policies and procedures including but not limited to the use of medium weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer
- the use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans
- the use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
