This job opening is for the position of a Porter within one of Bean Automotive Group’s operations. The Porter plays a vital role in the daily operations of the service department by assisting with the safe and efficient movement of vehicles. The core responsibility involves receiving vehicles from customers, transporting them to the service shop for necessary repairs, and returning them once service is complete. Beyond vehicle transportation, the Porter is tasked with maintaining orderly and clean service and parking areas, ensuring vehicles are properly secured especially during severe weather conditions such as hurricanes, and ensuring each vehicle is parked in designated spots with keys accurately labeled and stored. This position is a critical component in sustaining the smooth workflow of the repair and maintenance teams, ensuring customer vehicles are handled with care and returned promptly.

Job Requirements
- Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license with no Type A violations in the last three years based on violation date, a maximum of two Type B violations in the last two years based on violation date and must be able to drive vehicles with a manual transmission
- High school diploma or GED preferred, not required
- Ability to read, communicate and comprehend simple instructions effectively
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions

Job Duties
- Move vehicles from the service drive to the shop or service parking lot
- Move vehicles to the service drive for customer delivery
- Wash vehicles
- Maintain the service drive and parking lot clean
- Ensure that vehicles are safely secured in the event of an impending hurricane or other severe weather condition
- Ensure that vehicles are parked in assigned areas
- Make sure that all vehicles are locked and all keys are marked and put away correctly
