As a proud member of The Boyd Group, Gerber Collision & Glass is dedicated to fostering a supportive and resource-rich environment for its employees, empowering them to excel and provide exceptional service at every customer interaction. The company values integrity, diversity, and teamwork, recognizing that great teams do not form by chance but are intentionally built with the collective drive and ambition of their members.

Gerber Collision & Glass offers a dynamic workplace where employees are encouraged to grow their careers while contributing to the company’s mission of providing outstanding repair services. The organization prides itself on a culture of commitment, collaboration, and continuous improvement, making it an ideal environment for individuals seeking a long-term career in the automotive repair sector.

The role being offered is that of a Porter, a vital position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the collision and glass repair shops by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of customer vehicles, shop facilities, and office areas. The Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are pristine before delivery to customers and that the work environment upholds Gerber Collision & Glass’s esteemed WOW (Wow Operating Way) standards. This position emphasizes quality and attention to detail, requiring individuals who are dependable, attentive, and eager to learn.

As part of the team, Porters are expected to handle multiple tasks, including vehicle pre-washing before repairs, detailed cleaning after repairs, transporting vehicles to sublet locations, and maintaining the overall tidiness of the production and office areas. The role demands physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting, and occasional outdoor work to maintain parking lots and grounds. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility and a positive attitude, as Porters directly contribute to the overall customer experience by ensuring vehicles and facilities look their best.

Employment in this role is typically full-time, with an hourly compensation range of $16 to $23 depending on experience and skill level. Additional opportunities for bonuses tied to individual or business performance initiatives may be available, providing further incentives for exceptional work. Gerber Collision & Glass also underscores its inclusive hiring philosophy, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans, fostering an equitable and respectful workplace.

In summary, becoming a Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass means joining a respected industry leader dedicated to employee success and customer satisfaction. It offers a stable career with comprehensive training, benefits, and the chance to grow within a well-established and continuously evolving company.
