The Porter role at Twin Pines is an essential position crucial to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction throughout the properties it manages. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and working on-site at 951 Anderson Avenue, Bronx, NY, the Porter supports both operational needs and tenant experience by ensuring that common areas, grounds, and vacant units are impeccably maintained. This role contributes to the overall appeal and safety of the community, assisting leasing teams by preparing units for showings and occupancy and helping to create a welcoming environment for current and prospective residents. The position offers an hourly wage of $17 to $18, reflecting the responsibilities and skills required.

As a Porter, your day-to-day tasks will include professional cleaning of all common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, restrooms, offices, and model units. You will also be responsible for cleaning vacant apartment units in preparation for marketing and occupancy. Exterior duties include maintaining sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, dumpster enclosures, and public spaces to ensure a well-kept property appearance. Seasonal tasks like snow removal and basic landscaping further emphasize the importance of outdoor upkeep. The role demands attentiveness to safety protocols when handling cleaning agents and equipment, prompt reporting of maintenance or safety issues, and assistance with inventory control of supplies. Interaction with residents requires a professional and courteous attitude as you operate in areas frequented by the community.

Twin Pines values dedication, accountability, innovation, and continuous professional development. The Porter role provides a foundational opportunity to gain expertise in property operations within a professional environment that supports career growth. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision insurance options, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, commuter benefits, and more. The company cultivates a mission-driven workplace culture where the contribution of each team member helps enhance affordable housing communities throughout New York City. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions, contributing to a dynamic and engaging work environment.

This position represents a significant step for individuals seeking stable employment in property management with room to advance.
