The Nutrition Service department is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join their team and contribute to the overall mission of Parkview Health. The current opening is for a Porter position within the Nutrition Service department. Reporting directly to the Nutrition Services Manager and Supervisor, the Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout various service areas. This includes responsibility for sanitation in retail outlets, patient service areas, and coffee kiosks. The role demands strict adherence to cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and inviting environment for both patients and staff.

In addition to sanitation duties, the Porter will handle ware washing operations, following all safety guidelines to maintain hygiene and avoid contamination. The position also involves managing pot and pan supplies for the cooking area, ensuring all utensils and equipment are readily available for food preparation staff. Beyond sanitation and ware washing, the Porter will assist in various other tasks as needed within the department, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Another key responsibility of the Porter includes receiving deliveries from vendors at the dock, managing storage, and maintaining the storeroom’s organization efficiently. The role also entails food transport duties to satellite locations when required, ensuring timely and safe movement of food items within Parkview’s multiple facilities.

This position is non-benefited and scheduled for evening shifts from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. It requires the ability to work at any Parkview Health entity, emphasizing the need for adaptability and mobility. The ideal candidate will be at least 16 years old and possesses the physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for successful collaboration and execution of duties. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, work independently using critical thinking, and meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
