The Porter position at Avenue5 Residential offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who take pride in maintaining a pristine environment that enhances the appeal and safety of the property. Working as a porter, you will play a critical role in the upkeep and cleanliness of the property’s grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing offices, tour paths, parking lots, and other communal areas. Your efforts will directly impact the property’s marketing appeal and contribute to maximizing customer satisfaction by ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained community.
Porters at Avenue5 Residential are tasked with daily removal of trash and debris, pressure washing exteriors, preparing units for market readiness, and maintaining cleanliness within apartments, model homes, and common areas. The role is particularly dynamic as it includes assisting during property emergencies such as snow removal, floods, and fires, adapting to various inclement weather conditions to ensure safety and curb appeal are consistently upheld. Additionally, porters act as important liaisons by interacting courteously and professionally with current and prospective residents, fostering positive and collaborative relationships within the community.
This position requires a person who values confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail while demonstrating strong organizational and customer service skills. Compliance with safety policies, uniform standards, and maintaining a valid driver’s license with a clean record are essentials of the role. - Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to use general office equipment

- Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy

Job Duties
- Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis
- Assist in the preparation of market ready units
- Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc
- Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal and/or other inclement weather emergencies, fires, and floods
- Clean available apartments and/or model homes and common areas of the community as directed
- Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions
- Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents always
- Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality
- Foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, other properties and associated agencies
- Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and/or life safety issues identified while performing regular assigned duties
