Job Description
Clawson Motorsports is a well-established dealership specializing in the sales and service of motorcycles, side-by-side vehicles (SXS), and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). As a leader in the motorsports industry, they are committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality products to their community. This family-friendly business prides itself on maintaining a welcoming environment for both customers and staff, emphasizing professionalism and teamwork throughout their operations. With a strong focus on vehicle maintenance and inventory presentation, Clawson Motorsports plays a significant role in delivering a top-notch buying and servicing experience for motorsports enthusiasts.
The role of the Motorsports Porter is integral to the smooth functioning of the dealership's day-to-day activities. This position is primarily responsible for washing new and used motorcycles, SXS, and ATVs to ensure vehicles are customer-ready and meet the dealership's high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Beyond vehicle washing, the porter plays a key role in maintaining an organized and spotless dealership lot and work area, creating a pleasant and professional atmosphere for clients and employees alike. This job requires safe handling of motorcycles, including transporting them in and out of the service shop, which demands a reliable and skilled driver comfortable with company vehicles and operating forklifts when necessary.
The Motorsports Porter position at Clawson Motorsports is designed for individuals who thrive in active roles that entail both physical effort and attention to detail. Candidates must be comfortable with occasional heavy lifting performed safely and have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license for both cars and motorcycles. The role includes running various errands, ensuring the dealership environment remains orderly, and assisting with the logistics of vehicle movement throughout the lot and service bays. Flexibility in working hours is required, as the dealership operates Tuesday through Saturday, making Saturday shifts a regular expectation.
This position offers an approximate pay range of $16.90 to $18.00 per hour, reflecting a competitive wage for entry-level and experienced porters in the motorsports field. Clawson Motorsports offers an attractive benefits package to support their team members, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, paid holidays, and paid time off accrual starting from day one. Furthermore, employees enjoy additional benefits such as long-term disability coverage, employer-paid life insurance, and automatic enrollment in a 401(k) retirement plan, supporting both immediate needs and future financial security. Vehicle, service, and parts discounts are also provided, adding value for team members passionate about the motorsports lifestyle.
Being part of Clawson Motorsports means joining an organization that values collaboration, safety, and a dedication to superior customer care. The dealership fosters an environment where every employee’s contribution is recognized, and personal development is encouraged. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and enthusiastic about working in a busy, fast-paced motorsports dealership setting. Candidates with previous motorcycle dealership service experience will find that their skills are highly valued, although it is not a strict requirement. The successful candidate will possess a professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues, ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved.
