We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the position of Porter / Maintenance Technician at Culver's of Port Saint Lucie. This role is vital to the smooth daily operation of the restaurant, requiring attentiveness, strong work ethic, and multitasking ability. Porters at Culver's play a key role in setting the tone for the day by ensuring that the restaurant’s interior and exterior are clean, safe, and inviting from the moment the doors open. Responsibilities include routine maintenance of kitchen and restaurant equipment, stocking fresh food ingredients properly following safety protocols, and maintaining the overall appearance of the building, including groundskeeping and landscaping tasks. This position requires working both independently and collaboratively with the opening team members to prepare the restaurant efficiently for service. Candidates should be comfortable performing routine cleaning tasks, using equipment safely, lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds regularly, and following food safety standards strictly.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintenance or porter role preferred
  • Ability to perform routine manual cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to stand and walk constantly
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-100 pounds frequently
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be dependable and reliable
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings

Job Duties

  • Coordinate job duties with opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening
  • Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly
  • Provide superior maintenance to the interior and exterior of the restaurant
  • Maintain the appearance of the building and grounds including landscaping and snow removal
  • Put food orders away accurately and rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas
  • Monitor shelf life and code dates to ensure food safety
  • Clean grills, fryers, kitchen floors, equipment, coolers, freezer, bathrooms, parking lot, patio, and perform power washing as needed
