This Porter position located in St. Louis, MO, is a vital role within Caesars Entertainment’s operations team. The Porter is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and ensuring all public and operational areas reflect the premium quality and atmosphere Caesars is known for. In this role, the Porter will be tasked with cleaning and maintaining various casino floor areas, public spaces, dining rooms, stairwells, and employee areas, including restrooms and offices. The job requires extensive physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of 8 to 12 hours. The Porter must handle tasks like dusting, scrubbing, vacuuming, and carpet care, and is trained to safely manage specialized clean-up situations involving hazardous or biohazard materials. Attention to detail, a positive and energetic demeanor, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively are crucial to success in this role.

Caesars Entertainment requires all Porters to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License to comply with regulatory standards. Job Requirements

  • Ability to be physically mobile, stand/walk, bend, twist, turn, push and pull for 8 to 12 hours
  • ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations
  • ability to operate equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, mop, and broom
  • must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License
  • must be able to work in environments with dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise, temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality
  • must present a clean professional appearance and demeanor
  • regular and punctual attendance is required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in custodial or cleaning roles is beneficial
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor machines, mop, and broom

  • excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on guest service
  • capability to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License

Job Duties

  • Consistently delivers exceptional guest service by welcoming guests with a smile, offering a warm farewell, anticipating guest needs, and exhibiting a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic demeanor
  • cleans all casino areas including machines on casino floor, dining areas, public areas, hallways, stairwells, elevators, break rooms, offices and other assigned areas
  • cleans restrooms including scrubbing toilets, sinks, sweeping and mopping floors
  • performs a variety of general cleaning duties to include dusting high and low, scrubbing, wiping, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, picking up trash and other assigned cleaning duties
  • perform carpet care and resilient floor cleaning duties
  • conducts specialized clean-up according to procedure and utilizes proper equipment such as blood spills and hazardous material clean-up
