Job Requirements
- Six months of custodial-related work experience
- ability to adhere to safety guidelines for working with cleaning supplies and equipment
- working knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques
- computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Job Duties
- Cleans assigned areas of the facility according to instructions on a daily basis
- dust furniture and shelves using feather dusters, clean dry rags, dust treatment liquid, and dust mops with heads that can be laundered
- sweeps areas inside and outside of the facility using an indoor push broom and number 12 corn broom
- ensures that all debris is collected and placed into plastic trash bags
- scrubs and spot clean vinyl tile floors in the facility, being careful not to remove the wax finish
- spot cleans facility carpets and upholstery
- damp mops and wet-mop floors, including stairs, ensuring that mops and mop pails are clean before using them
- disinfects shower walls, bathtubs, basins, vanities, and bathroom floors
- disinfect commodes and urinals while strictly adhering to mandatory codes of dress and using prescribed cleaners and disinfectants only
