Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior maintenance experience required
  • Ability to work Thursday through Monday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a hands-on working environment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of tools and maintenance practices preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Assisting and taking direction from the Multi-Family Maintenance Supervisor
  • Learning how to conduct maintenance checks in apartment units to identify and resolve issues
  • Gaining experience in basic plumbing repairs and safety checks
  • Learning to inspect and maintain appliances for proper operation
  • Performing preventative maintenance such as caulking, cleaning wall heaters, and attaching shower guards
  • Assisting with unit turnover preparation to ensure new residents move into clean, safe homes
  • Participating in property-wide upkeep, including gutter and siding repairs, exterior painting, and pavement patching
  • Keeping common areas and grounds free of trash and debris
  • Maintaining a positive, respectful attitude with residents, coworkers, and supervisors
