Job Requirements

  • ability to handle and manipulate objects with hands, including seizing, grasping, turning, and holding
  • capability to work on feet for at least 8 hours
  • fast-paced movements required
  • ability to lift, pull, carry, or move objects up to 40 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds regularly
  • occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing as required

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience as a Porter or similar role preferred but not required
  • ability to organize and clean kitchen items effectively
  • familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment operation and cleaning procedures
  • proactive approach to task completion
  • good physical stamina
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • positive attitude and willingness to support kitchen team
  • ability to arrive early for shift briefing

Job Duties

  • organize and clean pots, pans, silverware, dishware, glassware, and kitchen equipment
  • discard rubbish as needed throughout the shift
  • operate industrial cleaning equipment such as dishwashers
  • assist the Chef on Duty with their responsibilities occasionally
  • maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen
  • ensure all dishes and equipment are properly cleaned and stored
  • take proactive measures to complete various tasks
