Job Requirements
- ability to handle and manipulate objects with hands, including seizing, grasping, turning, and holding
- capability to work on feet for at least 8 hours
- fast-paced movements required
- ability to lift, pull, carry, or move objects up to 40 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds regularly
- occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing as required
Job Qualifications
- prior experience as a Porter or similar role preferred but not required
- ability to organize and clean kitchen items effectively
- familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment operation and cleaning procedures
- proactive approach to task completion
- good physical stamina
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- positive attitude and willingness to support kitchen team
- ability to arrive early for shift briefing
Job Duties
- organize and clean pots, pans, silverware, dishware, glassware, and kitchen equipment
- discard rubbish as needed throughout the shift
- operate industrial cleaning equipment such as dishwashers
- assist the Chef on Duty with their responsibilities occasionally
- maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen
- ensure all dishes and equipment are properly cleaned and stored
- take proactive measures to complete various tasks
