Nauset Disposal is currently hiring for the position of Residential CDL Route Driver to join their expanding team in Plymouth, MA. This is a full-time role offering a well-structured Monday through Friday schedule starting at 6:00 a.m., with occasional Saturdays as needed, totaling between 50 to 55 hours per week. The role comes with competitive compensation starting at $27.00 per hour, with pay rates potentially increasing based on experience. As a Residential CDL Route Driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient operation of a garbage truck on designated routes throughout the Plymouth area. You will perform routine pre- and post-route inspections on your vehicle, checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment to maintain operational readiness and safety compliance. Professionalism and courteous interactions with customers are essential aspects of the role, as you represent the company during each service call. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly and the capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Job Duties
- Safely operating a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste
- Reading route sheets and servicing each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher
- Performing routine post and pre route inspections on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires
- Having professional and courteous interactions with our customers when needed
- Performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
