Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • Restaurant Manager training completion
  • ServSafe certification
  • ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

  • valid driver's license and insurance
  • ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk 85%-95% of shift
  • ability to operate restaurant equipment and computers
  • willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative
  • ability to handle stressful and fast-paced environments
  • ability to travel to other locations using personal vehicle.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum of 1 year experience as an associate manager and/or 2 years as a first assistant manager for internal candidates
  • minimum of 3 years experience managing a service concept with full profit and loss responsibility for external candidates
  • must be 100% certified in all workstations
  • must complete restaurant manager training classes
  • must be ServSafe certified
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to perform and understand basic math concepts
  • proven analytical skills
  • good organization and planning skills
  • self-starter with initiative and willingness to accept responsibility
  • proficient in personal computers and software applications
  • valid driver's license and insurance
  • ability to use personal vehicle for business purposes
  • demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior.

Job Duties

  • Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees
  • monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
  • ensures systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented and adhered to by management and crew
  • identifies and develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader
  • works with restaurant management team to ensure all facets of the Service Profit Chain are executed
  • creates a restaurant environment that is employee friendly, fun, clean and safe
  • motivates and inspires employees to achieve high performance
  • treats all employees with respect and dignity
  • regularly recognizes and rewards employees
  • manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance
  • provides an exceptional experience for guests by ensuring proper training and accountability for excellent guest service and food quality
  • reviews practices and modifies as needed to improve guest experience
  • maintains visibility and interaction with guests
  • responds to guest concerns and complaints timely and professionally
  • ensures positive resolution
  • maintains brand image of restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and excellent service
  • serves as role model for excellent guest service
  • utilizes management information tools to analyze operational and financial performance
  • identifies trends and implements action plans for improvement
  • uses data to analyze business results and consults with regional and CSC resources as needed
  • focuses efforts on increasing restaurant sales and profitability by executing the Service Profit Chain
  • considers cost/benefit impact of financial decisions and protects the Popeye's brand
  • monitors costs and adheres to budget and restaurant goals
  • demonstrates high ethical standards
