Job Description

Our esteemed establishment is a premier member-focused club renowned for providing top-tier recreational and dining experiences during the summer season. As a focal point of our vibrant community, the club boasts a pristine pool facility where members and guests can relax, socialize, and enjoy exceptional service against a backdrop of scenic comfort. Recognized for our commitment to hospitality excellence, we operate primarily during the mid-May through summer months, offering seasonal employment opportunities that cater to energetic and service-oriented individuals. Our Food & Beverage department plays a pivotal role in enhancing the member experience by delivering impeccable service and quality refreshment in an inviting outdoor setting.

The role of the Pool Server and Runner is integral to our mission of ensuring every visit to our pool area is memorable for all guests. This part-time position offers compensation at $16.90 per hour plus service charge, reflecting the value we place on our team members' contribution. Reporting to both the Food & Beverage Director and the Pool Captain, the Pool Server/Runner is tasked with delivering exceptional member service within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This dual-function role involves greeting members and guests with a warm, friendly demeanor while efficiently taking and delivering food and beverage orders. Additionally, the position requires individuals to rotate between server and runner duties, guaranteeing seamless service flow and operational effectiveness.

Beyond order delivery, the Pool Server/Runner actively participates in maintaining cleanliness and organization across the pool deck, supporting opening and closing procedures such as setting up service stations, managing towels, ensuring the pool area is tidy, and overseeing the sign-in process for guests. Working outdoors, team members must adapt to varying weather conditions while maintaining an energetic presence and professional attitude. Strong attention to detail is essential as employees ensure accurate order entry and proper billing to member accounts. Preferred candidates will have a current Food Handler's Certification and an alcohol service permit specific to California, along with a valid driver's license. While previous hospitality experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory, as the role emphasizes enthusiasm, dependability, and the ability to thrive in a social and lively summer atmosphere.
