Job Description
Conrad Los Angeles is the newest luxury hotel situated in the vibrant cultural corridor of Downtown Los Angeles. As a part of The Grand LA, a billion-dollar project, Conrad Los Angeles represents the 7th Conrad Hotel in the United States and the very first in California. This upscale destination features over 300 elegantly designed rooms, a world-class spa, an expansive 16,000-square-foot rooftop pool deck, 12,000 square feet of versatile event space, and three distinct dining venues. Among them is San Laurel, the hotel's signature restaurant, created in partnership with the renowned Chef Jose Andres and his celebrated restaurant group, Jose Andres Food Group. Conrad Los Angeles is designed to offer guests an exceptional experience combining luxury, comfort, and unique culinary delights.
As a Pool Server at Conrad Los Angeles, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding guest service in one of the hotel's premier recreational areas—the rooftop pool deck. This position involves serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and seamless. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of serving experience, preferably with exposure to luxury hospitality environments. You should possess a foundational understanding of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and proper etiquette. Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items is essential. Key responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, accurately taking and inputting orders via the Point of Sale system, delivering food and beverages efficiently, and providing attentive service while adhering to all relevant liquor laws and hotel policies.
Pool Servers must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand and walk throughout an eight-hour shift. The role requires the ability to carry large trays weighing up to 40 pounds through crowded spaces and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Conrad Los Angeles encourages its team members to embody Hilton's core values of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a proactive approach to their duties. Team members should also demonstrate qualities such as quality, productivity, dependability, customer focus, and adaptability to succeed in this fast-paced and guest-centered environment.
Working at Conrad Los Angeles means joining a globally recognized hospitality brand under Hilton, which itself embodies nearly a century of excellence in lodging and guest services worldwide. Hilton continues to lead in innovation, quality, and exceptional guest experiences across diverse hotel categories, from luxury resorts to mid-priced accommodations. Hilton's vision to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality inspires every team member to contribute to memorable guest experiences. This commitment to excellence is matched by a supportive workplace culture that emphasizes well-being, growth, and inclusivity.
The hourly wage for this Pool Server role starts at $17.87, commensurate with specialized experience and the Los Angeles location. Conrad Los Angeles is committed to equal employment opportunities and considers applications from all qualified individuals, including those with criminal histories, consistent with local fair chance hiring laws. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious luxury hotel brand in one of the most dynamic urban settings, contributing to an unforgettable guest experience at a top-tier hospitality destination.
