Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age to meet State of Hawaii Liquor Commission laws to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Hawaii Liquor Commission bartender's card
- Must possess or be able to obtain Hawaii Department of Health Tuberculosis Clearance Certification
- Proficient in the English language to communicate both verbally and in writing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with State of Hawaii Liquor Commission laws
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Hawaii Liquor Commission bartender's card
- Must possess or be able to obtain Hawaii Department of Health Tuberculosis Clearance Certification
- Proficient in the English language to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Previous hospitality, serving, and/or hotel experience
- Previous luxury hotel experience highly desired
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Ability to speak a second language
Job Duties
- Greet all guests in the Pool area
- Provide options for seating to guests, as necessary
- Provide food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to guests and refill drinks in a timely manner according to hotel's standards
- Set and reset table and dining area according to hotel standards
- Communicate orders, questions, and service needs to the kitchen staff by placing orders, including allergies and dietary requirements
- Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures
- Close out checks and ensure collection of proper payment method from guests
- Effectively communicate with guests on orders and upsell food and beverage items as appropriate
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beer and wine selection, and non-alcoholic drinks
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/section numbers, proper table setups, hours of operation, dress code, and other standard operational information
- Complete daily opening, closing, and/or running side work throughout each scheduled shift
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, dining/service areas, and storage areas
- Maintain strong guest and fellow team member engagement
- Perform all other reasonable tasks as assigned
