We are currently seeking an energetic, organized, and team-oriented Pool Runner to join our dedicated food and beverage team. This role is vital in delivering exceptional food service throughout our lively pool deck, where the dining experience is as important as the scenic surroundings. The Pool Runner ensures that every food order arrives promptly, accurately, and beautifully presented, contributing to the seamless and elevated guest experience that The Standard Spa is known for. This position requires excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and a positive attitude in order to thrive in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the pool area. The Pool Runner will work closely with kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and management to maintain organized service stations, assist with table maintenance, and support the overall flow of dining service.

Job Requirements
- ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods (8+ hours)
- ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity
- frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and stretching
- ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds
- ability to safely transport food trays and service equipment throughout the property
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods
Job Qualifications
- previous restaurant, food runner, or hospitality experience preferred
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- positive attitude with a guest-first mindset
- ability to remain calm under pressure
- fluent in English
- Spanish preferred
- flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly while maintaining proper presentation and food quality
- verify all food orders for accuracy before leaving the kitchen
- present dishes professionally and describe menu items when appropriate
- ensure food is delivered according to established service standards
- assist guests courteously and respond promptly to requests
- communicate guest needs, allergies, and special requests to servers and kitchen staff
- maintain constant communication between the kitchen and service staff regarding food timing and order status
