The Pool Bartender role at Bishop's Lodge is an integral part of the resort's exceptional food and beverage service team. This position requires a warm, engaging, and professional individual responsible for creating memorable guest experiences at the pool bar and lounge area. The Pool Bartender will greet guests with enthusiasm and a genuine smile, introduce them to the bar's specialty cocktails and beverage offerings, and accurately prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. This role demands meticulous attention to detail in maintaining bar organization and cleanliness, managing orders through the point-of-sale system, and ensuring timely delivery of service to guests. The bartender also fosters seamless communication among guests, management, and fellow staff to uphold the high service standards of Bishop's Lodge. Contributing to the overall ambiance, the Pool Bartender embodies professionalism, hospitality, and safety by following proper sanitization and responsible alcohol service protocols. This position is suitable for candidates who possess a minimum of one year experience in the hospitality or foodservice industry, have good knowledge of food and wine, ideally within a luxury hotel setting, and are able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Certifications such as food handler permits and alcohol training relevant to the local jurisdiction are also required or obtained promptly upon hiring. Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests by name when possible, with a genuine smile, eye contact, enthusiasm, and engaging demeanor
  • Introduce first-time guests to bar offerings, specialty cocktails, and signature beverages
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks accurately and efficiently
  • Present the menu and offer helpful recommendations on cocktails, spirits, and pairings
  • Take beverage and food orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
  • Ensure timely delivery of drinks and bar-side service while maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area
  • Act as a liaison between guests, management, and service staff to ensure seamless communication
  • Demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and hospitality throughout each guest interaction
  • Perform side work, restock supplies, and maintain bar equipment
  • Contribute to safety, sanitization, and responsible alcohol service protocols to support a healthy work environment
