The Barback position at Omni Charlotte Hotel plays a vital role in elevating guest service by supporting bartenders and servers in delivering personalized and attentive hospitality. This role demands a thorough understanding of cocktail and beverage menus, anticipating bartender needs, and ensuring all supplies and products are stocked and ready. Job Qualifications
- Hands-on food and beverage knowledge
- comprehensive working knowledge of the hospitality business
- relevant bar experience in a large convention hotel preferred
- ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure

- passionate about providing warm, engaging, personalized service
- ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English both verbally and in writing
- ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays

- computer literacy including payroll systems, Micros, POS systems
- Serve Safe certification
- unexpired TIPs required
Job Duties
- Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards
- ensure compliance with all hotel standards and local laws
- ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards
- prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections
- maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items
- perform all banquet side work including cleaning of bar and beverage equipment, portable bars, back bars, walls, and carpets around assigned work area
- ensure positive guest service and respond positively to complaints
- assist in controlling food and beverage quantities by avoiding over/under preparing
- assist with set-up and breakdown of all banquet bar areas
- attend all required department trainings and meetings
- perform any other duties required by leadership
