Job Description
Pacific Hospitality Group is a family-focused hospitality company dedicated to providing exceptional experiences through its owner/operator approach. As a well-established enterprise, Pacific Hospitality Group emphasizes long-term value creation and sustainable growth, aiming to enrich the lives of its guests, employees, and communities. The company operates with core guiding principles such as integrity, compliance, value creation, principled entrepreneurship, customer focus, knowledge, change, humility, respect, and fulfillment. These principles reflect its commitment to ethical business practices and a strong service culture, making it a prominent name in the hospitality industry.
This opportunity is for the role of Server, which plays a crucial part in delivering a memorable dining experience at Pacific Hospitality Group’s establishments. As a Server, you will be the primary point of contact for guests in the dining area, responsible for providing attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service. Your duties will involve taking and entering orders accurately in the point-of-sale (POS) system, assisting guests with menu selections, and recommending food and beverage pairings to enhance their overall experience. The role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction as well as the ability to maximize revenue through thoughtful upselling of menu items.
The Server position is an hourly role with a competitive rate of $16.90 per hour. It requires you to greet guests promptly, explain menu options including daily specials, and monitor guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities also include preparing the dining area, maintaining cleanliness and organization, adhering to food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws. You will handle cash and payment processing accurately, assist with side work before, during, and after shifts, and support fellow team members to maintain smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of food service experience with a preference for hotel or resort backgrounds. Basic knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards is required along with familiarity with wine, beer, spirits, and beverage pairings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for delivering a guest-focused service. Additionally, the candidate must be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain professionalism, and comply with safety policies. Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, and RBS certification or the ability to obtain it upon hire, are also necessary for this role.
Pacific Hospitality Group values diversity and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local laws.
