As a Bartender at Pacific Hospitality Group, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced, guest-oriented setting. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- RBS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Valid Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Prolonged standing and walking in a high-energy environment
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs including kegs, cases, and supplies
- Reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements
- Exposure to hot, cold, and noisy environments including kitchens and bar areas
- Handling glassware, sharp tools, and cleaning chemicals
- Working in crowded, fast-paced, and confined spaces
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience
- Hotel or resort experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
- Familiarity with food service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standardized recipes and proper portion control
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all beverages
- Interact with guests professionally to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails
- Upsell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue
- Set up, stock, and maintain the bar with necessary products
- Perform opening and closing duties according to procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions
- Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift reports including tip distribution
- Monitor inventory levels and complete requisitions
- Participate in inventory counts
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Adhere to alcohol service laws ensuring responsible service
- Follow company safety policies and report unsafe conditions
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance
- Clean and sanitize bar equipment and work areas
- Ensure minors and intoxicated guests are not served alcohol
- Resolve guest concerns and escalate when necessary
- Report unusual incidents or safety concerns
- Support team members and assist with additional duties as needed
