Job Requirements
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol according to state law
- Must be physically fit in order to lift trays of food or food items up to 50 pounds
- Must have a very flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Be courteous
- Show genuine care for all co-workers and guest(s)
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficient in the English language
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must be able to be outdoors for a long period of time
Job Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage experience in a luxury hotel setting is an asset
- Knowledge of food and wine an asset
- Proficient in the English language
- Second language is an asset
- Basic computer knowledge (Micros or other POS Systems)
- Food handling certificate is an asset
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills and professional presentation
- Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace
- Excellent eye for detail and ability to multi-task
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by guests
Job Duties
- Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
- Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
- Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
- Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
- Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
- Ensures guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
- Follow all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Set up maintain and breakdown Pool and Beach
- Provide Pool and Beach side service as schedule Inform guests about the hotel's facilities, policies and procedures
- Maintain and clean pool or beach areas
- Set up and breakdown of pool or beach areas
- Assist guests with chairs, towels and cushions
