Job Description

Gibsons Restaurant Group is a reputable dining establishment known for providing an exceptional guest experience grounded in its core values of hospitality, quality, family, and value. With a commitment to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that fosters connection and comfort, the group operates a collection of restaurants that are cherished for their inviting ambiance and exceptional culinary offerings. Gibsons Restaurant Group prides itself in delivering top-notch customer service, a hospitable environment, and consistently high-quality food and beverage selections. This dedication not only elevates the dining experience but also strengthens the brand's relationship with its guests, making it a preferred choice for diners seeking both quality and warmth in their restaurant experience.

The Stocker/Polisher role at Gibsons Restaurant Group is essential in supporting the overall dining room operations by ensuring that all utensils, glassware, and related dining materials are impeccably polished and readily stocked. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the visual and operational standards of the dining space, contributing directly to the guest's perception of cleanliness and professionalism. The individual in this role will be responsible for polishing silverware, restocking glassware and utensils, and keeping the dining room orderly and well-stocked during service hours.

This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with other dining room staff. Given its hands-on nature, the Stocker/Polisher ensures that all supplies like china, silverware, glassware, condiments, and linens are replenished and that the dining environment consistently meets the high standards set by the Gibsons Restaurant Group. As the frontline support in dining room maintenance, this position helps uphold the company’s philosophy by creating a hospitable, high-quality, family-oriented, and value-driven dining atmosphere.

The Stocker/Polisher is integral to performing opening and closing side work efficiently, handling routine cleaning tasks such as maintaining walls and shelves, folding napkins, and making extra place settings. The role necessitates physical stamina due to the requirement to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 50 pounds. It also demands the ability to operate within a fast-paced environment and follow detailed procedures and instructions, including training on job-specific equipment.

Those who succeed in this role typically have strong organizational skills, a team-oriented attitude, and a desire to contribute positively to the dining experience. Although prior experience is not required, a high school diploma or GED is preferred. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in hospitality or restaurant operations, gaining essential skills in maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. By contributing behind the scenes, the Stocker/Polisher ensures that every guest’s dining experience at Gibsons Restaurant Group is both pleasant and memorable.
