Job Description
Gracious Hospitality Management is a distinguished hospitality company known for its award-winning dining experiences and exceptional service standards. The company is expanding its innovative culinary ventures with the upcoming opening of 550 Madison, located inside the iconic Sony building in Midtown Manhattan. This ambitious multi-level, 15,000-square-foot project is designed to create a unique and immersive dining destination for New York’s vibrant food scene. 550 Madison will feature three distinct concepts: the second New York location of the Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse, the all-day multi-bar and dining concept Chimera, and Sushi Yoshitake, an intimate sushi restaurant led by Michelin-starred Chef Masahiro Yoshitake. The design sophistication comes courtesy of the Rockwell Group, with Yoshio Itai collaborating on the sushi concept, promising an outstanding experience that blends innovative gastronomy with exquisite ambiance.
As Gracious Hospitality Management prepares for the grand opening of 550 Madison in Spring 2026, they are actively seeking dynamic and experienced team members to join their hospitality team. The company is committed to excellence in service and is offering comprehensive on-site training to qualified and motivated candidates. This initiative promotes a supportive and educational environment to ensure new hires are well-prepared for their roles within this high-profile restaurant group. The hiring process includes resume screening, interviews, open call events, onboarding, detailed training, pre-opening service trials, and ultimately the grand opening celebration leading to full daily operations.
The positions available span across various departments to ensure all operational aspects are covered, including prep cooks, polishers, line cooks, porters, receivers, pastry cooks, drink runners, server assistants, servers, food runners, and hosts. Each role is integral to maintaining the remarkable standards expected at 550 Madison. Specifically, the polisher role focuses on maintaining spotless and shining service equipment like glassware, flatware, and plate ware, working closely with the entire back and front of house teams to ensure seamless service. Gracious Hospitality Management prides itself on fostering a positive workplace culture that values people, learning, sustainability, and stewardship.
Prospective employees can attend the 550 Madison Open Call Hiring Event scheduled for April 28, 2026, at 550 Madison Avenue, New York, NY. This event allows candidates to connect directly with the team, learn about the culture, and explore career opportunities. The company encourages applicants to bring a resume and a passion for hospitality. They emphasize a respectful and professional work environment, adherence to company policies, and the importance of maintaining high sanitation and safety standards. The pay range for these positions is between $17 and $19 per hour, aligned with New York State’s Pay Transparency Law. With a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, commuter benefits, paid time off, employee dining discounts, and career advancement opportunities, Gracious Hospitality Management aims to attract committed professionals dedicated to delivering extraordinary dining experiences.
