The role of Valet Attendant at The Manchester Hotel is a vital part of the guest services team, focused on creating exemplary first impressions and ensuring every guest receives seamless, outstanding service from the moment they arrive until their departure. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Ability to wear uniform completely and properly and be neatly groomed
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • Capability to run, retrieve vehicles, and lift luggage up to 50 pounds
  • Preferred, but not required: ability to drive a standard (stick-shift) vehicle
  • Ability to use personal cell phone for work purposes
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Physical ability to lift and transport luggage, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Offer assistance with carrying luggage and provide information about room features
  • Collaborate with the valet parking team to ensure a smooth and efficient parking and retrieval process for guests' vehicles
  • Safely drive and park vehicles, adhering to company and safety standards
  • Provide information about the hotel's facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the front desk, concierge, and other departments to ensure coordinated guest services
  • Relay important information about guest preferences and special requests
  • Monitor the entrance area for any suspicious activity and report concerns promptly
  • Adhere to safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and their belongings
