This position is for the role of PM Senior Operations Manager within the Airline Catering division, located on-site in Jamaica, USA. This is a full-time role with an attractive salary range between $119,000 and $148,000 per year. The successful candidate will assume a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the Customer Service Center (CSC) during the PM shift. This role demands an experienced operations leader who excels in overseeing supervisors and managers, driving high performance, and facilitating change management within a fast-paced and demanding operational setting.

The Senior Operations Manager will be tasked with planning, directing, and coordinating multiple production and operational activities to achieve designated business goals. A core aspect of the role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and governmental regulations. The manager will oversee economic and operating performance, resource allocation, production scheduling, and the continuous optimization of processes to maintain CSC competitiveness and efficiency. Effective communication and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders are essential to align operations with corporate standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities also include the development and execution of annual business plans and budgeting, leadership and development of subordinate staff in alignment with the Human Resources policy, and reinforcing company values and management principles within their workforce. Additionally, the Senior Operations Manager will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and quality by supporting initiatives such as the Global Quality Standard (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, and Employee Safety programs.

The candidate should come equipped with at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, supplemented by five to seven years of relevant industry experience, preferably within aviation or supply chain management. Experience managing multiple departments, strong verbal and written communication skills, polished interpersonal and presentation capabilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications are crucial. Familiarity with Ground Star technology is highly desirable. Moreover, the candidate should have a solid understanding of shift bids, staffing models, headcount planning, and productivity metrics to effectively lead the operation.

Job Duties

  • Execute the implementation of the CSC planning
  • Ensure compliance with the policies provided by CSC and Corporate
  • Provide data for the development of an annual business plan and budgeting for the CSC
  • Provide full oversight and leadership of all PM operations
  • Implement the short-term manufacturing (or operation) planning in coordination with other relevant interfaces
  • Oversee the CSC economic and operating performance
  • Ensure that the CSC is managed and controlled efficiently in line with the companys framework and market requirements
  • Ensure optimal deployment of human, technical and material resources in the CSC
  • Ensure the ordering of all materials needed at the CSC
  • Ensure that the CSC work methods are in line with the companys standards and customer contracts
  • Initiate Capex requests
  • Initiate and control continuous optimization of processes
  • Ensure the compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality guidelines provided by Corporate and local regulations and customer requirements
  • Ensure clear communication and close cooperation with all relevant internal and external interfaces
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy
  • Participate in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team
  • Make the companys values and management principles live in the department(s)
  • Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility
  • Initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standard (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety
