Within this reputable company, the role of Server Assistant or Server at Hai Hospitality and LORO, Asian Smokehouse + Bar, is pivotal to maintaining the seamless operation of the Front of House team. The Service Assistant position acts as the backbone, playing a critical role in ensuring a smooth guest experience by attentively monitoring the dining room, expo line, and bar areas. This role involves a variety of tasks that support servers and bartenders alike, from delivering food and bussing tables to maintaining cleanliness and managing curbside orders. Flexibility is key, as the opportunity offers both part-time and full-time schedules tailored to individual availability.

The position comes with an attractive $500 sign-on bonus payable in two installments: $250 after training completion and another $250 after 45 days. In addition to the sign-on incentive, Service Assistants typically earn approximately $500 per week in tips, highlighting the rewarding nature of the position. Career progression is encouraged, with strong opportunities for growth within the company, including moving up to positions such as Bartender where increased responsibilities and earning potential are available.

Job responsibilities include extensive learning initiatives such as mastering the menu, specials, and cuisine to confidently describe dishes to guests. Training also encompasses beverages, offering peer-led sessions on beer, wine, and cocktails. Actively supporting the team on the floor through side work and maintaining a present and helpful demeanor is essential. Tasks also involve bussing and resetting tables, polishing glassware, stocking supplies, assisting bartenders, delivering food, and managing curbside order logistics to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees
  • Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards
  • Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties
  • Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas and items
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating arrangements

  • Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including proper storage of supplies and cleaning of surfaces
  • Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs

Job Duties
