The role available is for a Server within the Food & Beverage department, reporting directly to the Outlet Manager. This position is crucial in providing top-tier service to patrons by efficiently managing dining room operations and ensuring guests feel welcomed and well-attended from the moment they arrive until they leave. The Server's responsibilities include greeting guests promptly, presenting menus, answering questions, and guiding guests through meal selections with informed suggestions. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential as the Server takes orders accurately, coordinates with kitchen and service staff for timely delivery, and monitors the dining experience to accommodate any special requests or adjustments.

In this role, the Server also plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area by setting up tables with clean and polished equipment and keeping their assigned section fully stocked throughout service hours. Closing duties involve proper breakdown of the dining room and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately settled and reported to the Accounting department. Physical demands of the job include standing and walking for extended periods, handling dishware and service equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment involves exposure to moderate noise levels and varying weather conditions.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food and beverage service
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings, COVID-19 testing and background checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and punctuality
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Job Duties

  • Acknowledge guests within 90 seconds of seating
  • Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service
  • Take order promptly and properly to relay orders to kitchen and service bars when necessary
  • Serve courses from kitchen and service bars using correct service procedures
  • Observe diners to attend any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • Settle guest checks and turn in all checks at the end of shift with a report for Accounting
  • Set up dining room with clean and polished equipment
  • Maintain a presentable and fully stocked section throughout the dining period
  • Complete all closing duties, including proper breakdown of dining room
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Manager
