Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Commitment to cleanliness and food safety

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service in a hotel environment preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to multitask and handle guest requests efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and set up the buffet area according to hotel standards
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are fresh, replenished, and presented attractively
  • Greet guests promptly and provide a welcoming dining experience
  • Present menus and explain offerings
  • Record and enter guests’ orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Assist guests with entree selections and accommodate special dietary needs
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct order and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, counters, and floors
  • Prepare and process checks, including handling payments and transactions
  • Monitor and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and utensils after each use
  • Ensure all items are restocked as needed throughout the service period
  • Assist with the breakdown of the buffet area and clean the area after service
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensure that coffee machines, juice dispensers, and other breakfast equipment are in good working order
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
