The role available is a Customer Service position that directly impacts the guest experience through delivering high-quality dining service. The position involves working evening shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm and focuses on providing welcoming, efficient, and upscale dining service for hotel guests. This includes taking orders, suggesting beverage options, marketing meal items, processing payments, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Candidates will be responsible for knowing every detail about the restaurant’s tables, seats, service policies, menu items, and beverage selections, including alcoholic products and adhering strictly to state liquor regulations. The role demands teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure. Previous experience in hotel operations, customer service, or upscale dining environments is preferred. Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education required
- Valid TABC certification required
- Valid food handler's certificate required
- Knowledge of P.O.S. systems preferably ALOHA
- Hotel operations or customer service experience preferred
- Previous upscale or fine dining restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and work productively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure

Job Duties
- Contribute positively to the team within the department
- Prepare for any and all guest requests
- Participate in on-going training
- Comply with Valencia Hotel Group and its affiliates standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling which varies dependent upon hotel needs
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant
- Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware, and garnishes in the restaurant
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation methods, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation
- Maintain knowledge of and abide by state liquor regulations particularly those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons
- Organize assigned stations and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival
- Greet guests and suggest beverage orders using upselling techniques
- Relay daily specials and answer menu questions accurately
- Take guests' orders and record following service standards
- Input orders into system and verify transmission by kitchen
- Work closely with kitchen team on service and timing
- Monitor and anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests even when busy
- Maintain positive guest relations and be familiar with all hotel services
- Handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction
- Total all charges and present checks according to procedure
- Process checks following departmental policy
- Adhere to payment, cash handling, credit card, and room charge policies
- Assist food runners as needed
- Attend meetings and trainings
- Assist with side work or additional prep work as required
