Job Description
Snowbird is a renowned mountain resort nestled in the heart of the Wasatch Mountain Range in Salt Lake City, Utah. Known for its breathtaking alpine scenery and exceptional terrain, Snowbird provides a unique blend of outdoor adventure and hospitality. This resort operates distinct summer and winter seasons, offering guests spectacular experiences year-round. Employees at Snowbird are celebrated for their enthusiasm, passion for the mountains and outdoor lifestyle, and commitment to delivering excellent service. The company values those who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to contribute to a welcoming guest experience. Snowbird accommodates a range of employment types including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and year-round positions, catering to diverse work preferences and lifestyles. The resort places a strong emphasis on fostering a friendly and inclusive work culture, supporting professional growth and offering comprehensive benefits to its team members.
The role of PM Public Areas Attendant at Snowbird, specifically located in the Cliff Lodge, is a full-time, year-round position with an hourly wage structure. This position operates on a set schedule from 3 PM to 11 PM, with flexibility to accommodate specific days of the week, while requiring availability on weekends and holidays to meet operational needs. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Director, this role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel's public areas including lobbies, corridors, pool, steam room, saunas, and exercise room. The attendant is responsible for a variety of cleaning duties such as dusting furniture, vacuuming, floor buffing, scrubbing bathrooms, and emptying trash to ensure a pristine environment for guests.
Additionally, the attendant will occasionally assist by delivering special items to guest rooms, sorting laundry, and performing cleaning tasks in guest rooms as needed depending on business demands. This position demands a high level of reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It also calls for strong interpersonal skills to interact politely and effectively with both guests and other employees. Candidates should be prepared to handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking on icy and snowy conditions, and standing for prolonged periods. The attendee must be adept at handling cleaning chemicals safely and be able to manage stress arising from guest interactions and operational demands in a busy resort environment.
Snowbird offers several attractive benefits for the PM Public Areas Attendant, including a free season pass and complimentary ticket benefits, discounts at resort eateries, retail shops, lodging, mountain school, and daycare for employees. Medical, dental, vision, and accident insurance are available based on the position and are subject to change. The resort also provides a 401k plan with a company match, discounts with Powdr partners, and convenient free transportation options including UTA buses, rideshare vans, and employee shuttles. Snowbird prides itself on being an equal-opportunity employer, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace free from discrimination and harassment of any kind. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about the outdoors and hospitality to join a vibrant team dedicated to excellence.
