Job Description
Trailborn is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant dedicated to crafting elevated and authentic dining experiences that leave a lasting impression on every guest. Rooted in the principles of teamwork, quality, and creativity, Trailborn prides itself on delivering exceptional culinary adventures that blend precision with passion. Our establishment thrives on the spirit of adventure, encouraging our team members to embrace possibilities with a unified, cooperative attitude that inspires magic in every detail.
The Prep Cook role at Trailborn is an integral part of our back-of-house (BOH) team, where culinary excellence meets the high demands of a fast-paced environment. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen by preparing all ingredients and meals with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that each dish meets our company’s elevated culinary standards. This includes foundational prep tasks such as sauce preparation, butchery, and vegetable fabrication. Your skill in these areas will help support banquet service and all kitchen operations efficiently and consistently.
This position offers a versatile work schedule with opportunities for seasonal, part-time, or full-time employment, making it suitable for those seeking flexibility. Compensation ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, reflecting the valuable contributions you will bring to the team. The role also includes eligibility for medical, dental, and vision benefits with company contributions, as well as paid time off, sick leave, 401(k) plans with company match, and various employee discounts.
At Trailborn, we believe that an exceptional dining experience is built on preparation, precision, and teamwork. Our ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for culinary arts, strong knife skills, and the ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced kitchen setting. Beyond technical skills, we value a commitment to quality, a positive work ethic, and the cooperation necessary to foster a supportive kitchen environment. As a Prep Cook, your responsibilities will directly impact the smooth operation of our kitchen and the satisfaction of our guests. Your efforts will ensure that every ingredient is prepared to perfection, contributing to the consistency and excellence that define Trailborn’s menu offerings.
Working at Trailborn means joining a team that values diversity, inclusivity, and mutual respect. We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a workplace where all employees feel welcomed and supported regardless of background or identity. We are committed to providing accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities and promote an open, collaborative culture where every team member’s contribution is valued.
In summary, the Prep Cook role at Trailborn is not just a job; it is an opportunity to be part of an innovative culinary team that embraces excellence and creativity. This role will challenge and grow your skills, immerse you in a unique hospitality environment, and reward your dedication with a comprehensive benefits package and a chance to make a meaningful impact. If you are ready to bring your prep cook experience and culinary passion to a forward-thinking restaurant known for its authentic experiences, Trailborn awaits your application.
