Job Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods (8-10 hours per shift)
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (pots, pans, boxes of supplies)
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and navigate tight spaces
  • Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for detailed prep work
  • Work effectively in a hot, fast-paced environment near ovens and stoves
  • Read recipes and monitor food quality with visual accuracy
  • Communicate clearly with team members
  • Sustain physical stamina for long, high-pressure shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience with sauce preparation, butchery, and vegetable prep
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of proper culinary techniques
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Passion for cooking, creativity, and strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to quality, teamwork, and a positive work ethic
  • Food handler's certification or equivalent
  • Culinary school completion preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other ingredients according to company recipes and scratch-kitchen standards
  • Perform butchery and vegetable fabrication with precision and consistency
  • Execute prep lists efficiently to ensure readiness for service
  • Prepare dishes according to company recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Accurately read, measure, and execute recipes
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and attention to detail in all food prepared
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards at all times
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members to coordinate service
  • Assist other team members with cooking and preparation as needed to meet service demands
  • Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
