The Peter B's Busser role is a pivotal position within the restaurant's food and beverage team, designed to support the Food Servers by ensuring that guests receive prompt and courteous service throughout their dining experience. Busses at Peter B's are responsible for clearing and resetting tables, assisting with food delivery, refilling beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. This role requires strong communication skills, physical stamina to lift, pull, and push moderate weight, and an ability to work efficiently under pressure in a customer-centric, fast-paced environment. The busser acts as a liaison between the kitchen, servers, and guests, facilitating smooth operations and contributing significantly to a positive guest experience. The role is scheduled primarily on evening shifts from 3 PM to closing time, with three shifts per week, including the possibility of nights, weekends, and holiday work based on business needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a friendly and energetic demeanor, a passion for exceptional customer service, and a cooperative team spirit. In addition to assisting in the dining room, bussers may also support bartenders with restocking supplies and maintaining bar cleanliness. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • California Food Handlers / ServSafe Certification
  • State approved Certification Alcohol management
  • Minimum 6-months of food & beverage experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Responsible for serving guests while complying with a sequence of customer service standards to positively impact the guests' experience
  • Assume a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guests and fellow staff members
  • Maintain work areas and equipment clean
  • Clear, wipe down and set tables with dishes, napkins, silverware, glassware and condiments for the next guest
  • Assist serving staff in delivering food orders to tables
  • Refill guest water glasses and coffee cups
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
