Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience preferably in high-volume or fine dining restaurant
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have weekend availability
- Ability to be on your feet for a full shift including use of stairs
- Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds
- Working knowledge of basic kitchen cooking and prepping terminology
- Basic kitchen knife skills
- Ability to read and interpret kitchen tickets and communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of line cook experience preferably in high-volume or fine dining restaurants
- Working knowledge of basic kitchen cooking and food prep terminology
- Basic kitchen knife skills
- Ability to read and interpret kitchen tickets (orders)
- Strong communication skills in English
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to Smith & Wollensky quality and service standards
- Coordinate orders to ensure timely and accurate cooking
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of all menu items and ingredients used in recipes
- Maintain proper food temperatures to ensure safety and quality
- Follow all company safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff
- Report directly to the Manager on Duty and assist with kitchen operations
