Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- willingness to follow safety and cleanliness guidelines
- flexibility to work various shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- Ability to learn and produce all menu items at assigned station
- knowledge of food safety and proper refrigeration techniques
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
- good communication skills in English
- physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in a hot kitchen environment
Job Duties
- Control quality and consistency of all food served
- ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service
- ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis
- assist in controlling food cost
- learn all menu items produced by assigned station
- proper refrigeration and serving of cold food
- production of orders
- follow all proper hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed
