Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work near heat sources
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 40 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and work at a fast pace during busy service times
  • High-energy kitchen environment with exposure to heat, sharp tools, steam, and cleaning chemicals
  • Fast-paced during peak service periods with tight timing demands

Job Qualifications

  • Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Culinary school a plus
  • Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and direction from chefs
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and time management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in every dish prepared
  • Execute dishes in a timely manner during service periods
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures (FIFO)
  • Set up, stock, and maintain assigned station throughout service
  • Monitor product levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Sous Chef
  • Assist with prep lists and daily production as needed
  • Break down and clean station at the end of each shift
  • Work collaboratively with other cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff
  • Communicate ticket timing, shortages, and any issues promptly
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and solution-focused attitude
  • Follow all food safety standards and local health regulations
  • Maintain a clean work area, including equipment, tools, and surfaces
  • Report equipment issues or maintenance needs immediately
  • Uphold safe work practices to prevent injuries and ensure a safe kitchen environment
