The PM Line Cook position at The Palm House is a pivotal role within the kitchen team, specifically focused on supporting the dinner service. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods up to 8 hours or more during shifts
  • ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy items up to 50 lbs such as boxes, kitchen supplies, and food ingredients
  • ability to bend, kneel, and reach to perform cooking tasks and access items on high shelves
  • manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment
  • ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment
  • capability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail especially during peak hours

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food to order according to established recipes and standards

  • monitor and maintain proper food safety and sanitation procedures including cleanliness of kitchen and equipment

  • ensure all dishes are prepared to specifications of Executive Chef or Sous Chef, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
  • keep track of inventory and ingredients, notifying management when supplies need replenishment
