The current opportunity is for a passionate, motivated Cook to join the Culinary team at Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown. This role is ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about culinary arts and eager to enhance their skills in a professional kitchen. The Cook will play a central role in assisting the Chef with food production, menu development based on seasonal availability, and maintaining high standards in food quality and kitchen operations. It offers hands-on experience with various cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, and frying, along with opportunities to work closely with an experienced culinary leadership team.

This position allows individuals to grow their culinary talents by learning recipe creation, cross-utilizing ingredients to minimize food waste, preparing ingredients, and maintaining an orderly and sanitized kitchen. The candidate will also acquire skills in managing workstations and ensuring that food storage meets quality standards. Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • active food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
  • must be willing to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
  • requires strong organizational skills
  • must be able to work independently
  • able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • at least 21 years of age
  • have a desire to exceed expectations
  • energetic personality
  • ability to work holidays and weekends

Job Duties
