Candidates will also be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment, alongside thorough upkeep of hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms. Proficiency in operating various cleaning machines such as brooms, mops, vacuums, powered scrubbing, and waxing equipment is essential. The role mandates careful adherence to safety procedures and regulations especially in the use of chemicals and equipment. Attendants must exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

Physically, the job demands the ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods, with the capacity to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and push or pull loaded housekeeping carts over uneven surfaces. There is exposure to cleaning detergents and chemicals, requiring safe handling and proper storage of flammable materials.
