The role being offered within the Food & Beverage - Culinary department at Rosewood Inn of Anasazi is a full-time permanent position primarily focused on dishwashing and support to kitchen operations, offering a wage starting from $17.00 per hour with anticipated work hours between 30 and 40 per week. This position is vital to maintaining the hygiene, efficiency, and smooth functioning of the hotel’s dining and banquet services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including setting up wares for dining outlets and banquets, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils, pots, and pans, and assisting the kitchen with plating banquet meals. They will also manage and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and uphold cleanliness and organization within their designated work areas.
This role demands attention to detail and adherence to strict sanitation protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations. The employee must be able to operate dishwashing machines, check the working conditions of equipment, monitor chemical and water usage, and perform routine machine maintenance such as changing filters and refilling chemicals. Additionally, the position carries responsibilities related to managing waste disposal, recycling adherence, and performing tasks such as burnishing and paste polishing designated silverwares.
Beyond these technical tasks, the position involves excellent teamwork and communication skills to maintain positive guest relations and collaborate effectively with other departments. Given its integral role within the culinary team, candidates are expected to be proactive in keeping their work environment clean and organized, responding swiftly to spills, and supporting the overall kitchen efficiency and banquet service delivery.
