Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen line experience preferred
- Food Handlers Card required
- ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in high temperature areas
- adherence to company policies and safety standards
- authorization to work in the United States
- consistent attendance as per company standards
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- previous kitchen line experience preferred
- possession of Food Handlers Card
- knowledge of food and beverage in restaurant or hotel operations
- ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- skillful use of kitchen tools and machines
- ability to measure and cut ingredients precisely
- proficiency in English language and ability to communicate effectively
- ability to work quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environments
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude
Job Duties
- Prepares meals for guest consumption
- ensures kitchen is clean and complies with health codes
- reads menu to estimate food requirements and orders food or procures from storage
- adjusts thermostat controls to regulate ovens and kitchen equipment
- measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes
- sets up and stocks stations with necessary supplies
- cooks menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
- cleans station and manages waste
- stocks inventory and maintains inventory records
- ensures food items are properly dated and stored
- maintains temperature logs
- ensures timely and high-quality food presentation
- complies with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
- maintains professional and positive approach with coworkers and customers
- responds timely and appropriately to guest requests and complaints
- adheres to safety and brand standards
- operates kitchen in accordance with laws and regulations
- performs other duties as assigned
