As part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the River's Edge Hotel blends the comfort of a boutique experience with the reliability of an internationally recognized brand. This environment fosters a friendly and engaging workplace that supports the professional growth of its employees and encourages the delivery of outstanding hospitality services. The company prides itself on creating a family-like atmosphere where every team member’s contributions are valued and teamwork is a cornerstone of success.
The position available is for a Line Cook, an essential role within the kitchen team dedicated to preparing meals for guest consumption while ensuring a clean kitchen environment compliant with health codes. The role demands an individual with a passion for cooking and hospitality, someone eager to join a dynamic team that thrives on delivering high-quality dishes. This position offers more than just a job — it offers a career path with limitless growth opportunities supported by a leadership team committed to helping employees maximize their potential.
The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing a diverse range of menu items, employing various kitchen tools and equipment such as blenders, mixers, and grills. The role requires precise measurement and mixing of ingredients to create soups, salads, desserts, sauces, and casseroles that meet or exceed guest expectations. Attention to detail is critical, not only in food preparation but also in maintaining inventory, temperature logs, and cleanliness standards. The cook must ensure that all food items are stored correctly and properly dated to maintain food safety and quality. The position demands a proactive approach to guest requests and complaints, requiring timely and friendly responses that uphold the hotel’s reputation.
The status of employment includes flexible working schedules that may encompass weekends, holidays, and varying shifts to meet the operational needs of the hotel. The role is non-supervisory but necessitates a high level of responsibility and professionalism. The ideal candidate should have previous kitchen line experience and possess a Food Handlers Card as required by local and state regulations. Physical demands include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds, and working near high-temperature equipment. The company also emphasizes a positive and professional work environment, maintaining a respectful and cooperative team atmosphere.
The hotel offers an attractive benefits package, including travel perks, optional daily pay, flexible schedules, comprehensive health and life insurance, 401k retirement plan, paid time off, dental and vision coverage, an employee assistance program, and a referral program. This commitment to employee well-being and professional development makes the River's Edge Hotel an excellent place to build a career in hospitality.
