Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • Proven leadership experience in back-of-house operations
  • Ability to work PM shifts only
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong culinary skills with hands-on cooking ability
  • Experience in menu development and creating seasonal dishes
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop back-of-house staff
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work evening shifts consistently

Job Duties

  • Keep the line moving and ensure food goes out consistently and at a high standard
  • Lead the back-of-house team on PM shifts by overseeing hands-on cooking, directing prep, managing tickets, and keeping everyone aligned and focused
  • Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes and weekly specials to shape the menu
  • Coach employees as needed while maintaining consistent communication
  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations with a focus on PM service execution
  • Lead, train, and mentor back-of-house staff to maintain consistency, efficiency, and morale
  • Oversee prep and production to ensure readiness for service and events
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and organization
  • Step in wherever needed as this is a leadership role, not a station-only position
