The role being offered is that of a Dining Room Assistant within the Food and Beverage team at one of Valencia Hotel Group’s hotels. This position is integral to creating a refined, inviting restaurant atmosphere and supporting seamless guest service. Dining Room Assistants play a critical role in assisting food servers by clearing and resetting tables, ensuring that service stations are fully stocked, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. This role demands a high level of professionalism, courteous guest interaction, and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.

The Dining Room Assistant position offers an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and possess excellent customer service skills. Candidates will need to be well-groomed, maintain a professional demeanor, and demonstrate an eye for detail. The role requires working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the hospitality industry's dynamic nature. Successful team members will contribute positively to their work environment and comply with Valencia Hotel Group’s standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities include setting up tables before service begins, promptly clearing and resetting tables between guest visits, and efficiently handling used china, glassware, and linens. The role also involves collaboration with other departments to elevate the guest experience and maintain effective communication for reporting potential incidents or safety concerns. The Dining Room Assistant supports not only guest services but also team training and development, attending meetings and ongoing training sessions to stay current with menu items, company policies, and service standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school education or equivalent, TABC certification, and a Food Handler's certificate to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and food safety standards. Physical stamina is necessary for standing and walking for extended periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds. This role offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, and paid community service days. Joining Valencia Hotel Group means becoming part of an award-winning team where personal growth, teamwork, and guest satisfaction are top priorities.
